First Baptist Church in Munday serves a community of 1,300 people in Knox County, Texas. Founded in 1892, the church has been integral to the community's life and future. Our members value family, hard work, and faith.
We also firmly believe in the importance of Missions and Outreach. Mission is an important part of First Baptist Munday’s Ministry. The Bible is full of examples of God’s people going out into the world to share His love and message with others. It is through mission that the Church can reach out to others and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mission can be a powerful way to bring people closer to God. It can also be a way to fulfill the role of the Church in the world by helping people move closer to God and his Gospel.

First Baptist Church is supporting these Mission & Outreach Projects in 2025:
Jamie Caldwell has been part of the Mississippi Baptist Honduras Mission effort since 1998. During those 26 years she has grown to become a board member and team leader. The Texas team has been around for approximately 10 years with members thru the years from Stamford, Weinert, Holiday, Iowa Park and Munday. First Baptist Church in 2024/25 supported this effort with shipping hundreds of hygiene packets and purchasing Bibles.
This year First Baptist Church will be participating in our 5th year with Samaritan's Purse. You can help us by donating a shoe box of gifts. Our drive begins very soon.
We have two projects that are in the works - more coming soon.
